I prefer thrifting teapots; you never know what you’ll find! You also can find vintage teapots on Etsy and Ebay. But some online options are also charming, especially if made by artisans. I’m partial to organic pottery or cottage-y teapot designs.
Teapots
HVH 40 oz. wabi sabi striped six cup teapot with strainer, Amazon
This blue grey organic looking teapot features a subtle lined texture and a delicate pour; I do own this one.
Sechudo 30.4 oz. cast iron teapot with strainer, Amazon
In the classic Japanese style, this striking teapot showcases a gold and dusty teal blue/green pattern.
Certified International wildflowers 36 oz. ceramic teapot, Wayfair
This pretty lavender botanical teapot is floral but not fussy, with the look of handpainted watercolor flowers.
Leonardo of England 32 oz. William Morris Blackthorne teapot, Blue Moon Teas
If you know me at all, you know I’ll find a William Morris option: this lovely rounded teapot in the Blackthorne design. I also like the Hyacinth design. This retailer features English tea essentials, but is located in Washington, avoiding international shipping fees.
KyotoJP Treasures 300 ml. single serving Japanese ceramic teapot, Etsy
This single serving teapot has a moody, organic speckled look in mauve-y browns, greys, and greens, with a slight metallic crackle finish, truly a work of art. This blush pink and green teapot is similar in design.
Hana Matcha 300 ml. single serving crackle glaze ceramic Gongfu teapot, Etsy Currently 30% off.
This interesting crackle glaze teapot comes in four organic colorways.
Teas
Bigelow - I enjoy plain old Bigelow teas, available at most grocery stores... what can I say? My favorites are Earl Grey, Lemon Lift, Constant Comment, and regular Green.
Numi - Numi teas are high quality and organic, and available at many grocery stores. My favorite is Turmeric Amber Sun, with cardamom and cinnamon for a warming spiced cupful. Rooibos Chai, with ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom, is another tasty flavor. This advent calendar lets you try several Numi teas.
Yogi - My favorite Yogi teas are Peach DeTox, which is fruity and spicy and supports detoxing the liver and gallbladder, and Roasted Dandelion Spice DeTox, which is spicy and earthy and supports the body’s natural cleansing systems. Yogi offers a favorites gift box and this tea sampler for trying different brews.
Taylors of Harrogate - This classic English tea brand offers spins on several classics. Choose which ones to try with this sampler.
Rishi - Based in Milwaukee, this premium tea company offers many of its flavors in a sachet collection sampler.
The Republic of Tea - A popular choice, brand offers round unbleached tea bags without strings in metal containers. I like the slight spice of Ginger Peach and Holiday Chai rooibos.
Keepsake tins - Use charming metal keepsake tea tins to store trinkets after the tea is gone. These ones are particularly pretty: New English Teas and its William Morris inspired design, Full Leaf Tea Co, Great British Brands, beautiful artistic Klimt options from Chicago Tea House, and this interesting Tea Garden Herbs Grow Kit.
May your quiet autumn afternoons be filled with warmth, comfort, and the perfect pour. Whether you are steeping a classic blend or displaying your favorite teapot, a daily tea ritual is all about savoring the slow, cozy moments of the season.
